Harvest Monday 20 August 2012

Inspectoring the garden, I squealed and ran inside when I saw this:

Zero effort gardening has resulted in two spears of asparagus! I think this crown at the back is a year older than the one at the front, because they are thicker in diameter.

Also harvested this week:
2 bay leaves (Frost killed the bay tree)
2 Parsley sprigs
Some vietnamese mint
8 cherry tomatoes
2 asparagus spears (3/4 of the giant spear was very woody).

And yes, they tasted delicious.

  1. Poor bay tree 😦 I keep harvesting from mine much faster than it is growing, so mine may be harvested to death soon!
